Team Hoyt

This is so inspiring on so many levels--and not just because of how beautiful Dick is as a father. I hope that parents of children with disabilities can see people like Rick and realize that life is not over. Rick is the reason I work in special ed preschool. There is such a beauty that can be overlooked, and these parents did not. Like I said, this is so beautiful, inspiring and, be warned, tear jerking!

yes, truly incredible...I had heard about them somewhere before, but thank you for posting that video.

I also posted a video that inspires me today. It is my last post, on Nick Vujicic...another WOW story. I think you'd really like it.

Oh, my! I'm going to short circuit my laptop w/ my tears. Thanks for this!

One can not imagine all the hours in training they both endured to do these races. Running a marathon reguires 40 hours of run time a week and the abilty for father to pick up son and transport him to his wheelchair in the middle of a tri knowing he is about to start a 10 or 15k is gruelling. Here I am stuck to the seat of my rocker.

Thanks!

Bethany--I did see that and cried too!

Maggie--I cried so much that, added to the dust I've stirred up today, I have a headache! I was so inspired and awed!
